Metal bending is a process through which metal can be manipulated to alter its current shape. When bending the metal there are a number of safety tips to consider before, during and after the project.

Before completing the task make sure you’re:

Wearing safety glasses at all times
Wearing close-toed shoes
Hair is tied back and loose jewellery is removed
Wearing the appropriate safety gloves

Also make sure before operating any metal bending machinery that:

Guards or safety devices have been removed and adjusted and returned once task is completed
Working surface is kept free of dirt and debris
Working parts have been lubricate i.e. hinges and knobs
