Powder Coating
Powder coating is the technique of applying dry paint to a part. The final cured coating is the same as a 2-pack wet paint. The powder is applied with an electrostatic spray gun to a part that is at earth (or ground) potential.
Galvanizing
Galvanizing helps rust resistance. The process involves coating mild steel with a thin zinc layer by passing it through a molten bath of zinc at a temperature of around 460 °C.
Machining
An unfinished workpiece requiring machining will need to have some material cut away to create a finished product. The three principal machining processes are classified as turning, drilling and milling.
Polishing
Polishing and buffing are finishing processes for smoothing a work piece’s surface using an abrasive and a work wheel. Polishing is often used to enhance the appearance of an item.
